How it works

The popular ways to collect tips almost all work the same way underneath: the money lands with them first, then they pass it on to you. At that moment, however briefly, someone else is holding what's yours — and anything a company holds, it can review, pause, or freeze.

Show Some Love.™ trademark is built the other way around. Your supporters pay your own payment account directly. The money never passes through us, so we can't hold it, route it, or freeze it — and we take none of it.

That isn't a policy we could quietly change. It's structural. The mechanism that makes it true is Stripe Connect with direct charges — not forwarding code of ours that could be rewritten later.

There are only two, and they never cross.

1. Tips — supporter → your own Stripe account, directly. Zero platform involvement in the money. We're told that a payment happened, via a webhook, so your page can thank the supporter — but we never see or hold the funds themselves.
2. Subscription — you → us, a flat $9.99/month via Stripe Billing. This is our only income. We earn the same whether you receive $20 or $20,000, so we've no reason to ever police your account.

Up and running in minutes.

1. Sign in with Google.
2. Claim your page — pick your link (showsomelove.com/yourname), write a short bio, add an avatar.
3. Connect your Stripe account. Stripe collects your identity verification on Stripe's own secure pages — we never see it.
4. Go live. When Stripe confirms you're ready to charge, your public tip page is live at showsomelove.com/yourname.

Only what's needed to let you thank them properly:

• the name they type (whatever they choose to share),
• their email,
• the amount,
• an optional message,
• and their privacy choice.

The real billing identity — full legal name, address, phone, card details — is collected by Stripe, on Stripe's own page. We never see it; you can view it in your own Stripe dashboard.

"Anonymous" hides a supporter from your public feed only. You always see the name and email they gave you in your own dashboard, so you can still send a personal thank-you.

We never hold your money, so we genuinely can't freeze it. But risk doesn't vanish — it moves to your own payment processor, and to you, which is where it belongs. Stripe is built for exactly this kind of work — tips, subscriptions, recurring support — so problems are uncommon and usually tied to genuinely unusual activity.

We will never tell you your money "can never be frozen" — that wouldn't be true, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we can say is true and simple: we don't hold your money, so we can't freeze it, and we take none of it.
